I was reading something totally different for different purpose but ended up liking this analogy to the point that I wanted to use it for my writing about God instead of the human brain, what author had intended.
The book is “An introduction to theories of personality. Forth edition, Chapter, one Page 12”.

Now suppose that a faint light illuminates part of the object thus allowing you to see part of it. You now know more about the object than you did before but much remains unknown. Now another beam of light falls on the object, then another and another. You walk around the object noting what has been illuminated by the various beams of light. Because the beams are coming from different directions, many beams allow you to learn more about the object. Some beams are narrow and bright, concentrating on a small area but exposing greater detail. Other beams are broader but dimmer, allowing you to learn about a larger area but in less detail. Some beams may overlap others but all are useful. In fact the greater the number of beams and angles, the more information you will have because each beam illuminates a part of the object of interest that previously was dark.”

The closer we get to our potential more we would know about God, but the journey towards our potential has always been difficult because of our in fighting and the politics of power. We always have been evolving and learning thus every day there are more discoveries to advance the interest of the human being. It is a well known fact that there is more room to learn, if there is more room to learn, then we should be humble about our existing knowledge. We still do and always have been claiming that our knowledge is better or complete yet are only able to use the fraction of our brain powers thus our claims that we know every thing there is to know including about God is logically false.
Some say spirituality starts where our logic fails but I believe if you start to think logically you end up becoming spiritual. A scientist may not believe in God but end up serving humanity even more than religious leaders. Saving human lives is not only serving humanity, it is serving God because God can’t function without the human beings. If you are an atheist or belong to the opposing religion but you invent some thing like insulin, some vaccine or an antibiotic drug which saves millions of human lives, because of your contribution, in my opinion your standing is higher than any passionate fanatic of any and all religions.( Read practical vs prayers).
The journey to evolve to human potential, is to gain the knowledge with the right tempo and speed of adaptation to understanding. A pin hole at a time, slow and steady approach to dig in, to find out more about our potential. Taking charge and responsibility, yet being humble to serve God’s will.
Being subcontractor with a five bucks worth free will, and having a CEO authority is the key to understand and live a successful life a human individual. God’s gain is in human’s success, because God’s work is done by the Godly human. Even if the physical work is done by the human being the thoughts to do God’s work come from the source directly.
Having a CEO authority creates confusion to less evolved and mortal human who thinks that every thing is done by him/her alone. If every thing is held by the thread internally and externally for the individual, how can an individual claim that? The ego is created by the strong sense of belonging to the belonging group not to God or humanity as a whole.
In the end the real Godly human is standing vulnerable literally , ready to surrender with whatever he/she got, without the ego, pride, sense of belonging or freedom. Being healthy wealthy and humble makes life worth living to self God and God’s people, otherwise two extremes emerge. The egotistic, arrogant and self serving, boundary less, without the sense of self destructive behavior Godless human being or the self sacrificing, obedient, bound in self created boundaries, drive less human who leaves everything on God. Non of them is following God’s will, because God created human to run his/her life and God’s affairs simultaneously, the one who is a CEO and does not look to God for everything, who is resourceful to make God proud by his/her independent abilities.
Most religions promote that God is an entity out there. I believe, we all have a little shot of God in us, we process, we believe and dance accordingly. If you are genetically susceptible, just like the alcohol, to some, it can give higher high than other kind of high. Religions do the same for the people, for instance same mosque, church or temple will have people who believe in God at different percentage.
If they don’t agree they form their own group and eventually make another mosque, church or temple just a block away, regardless of the denominations and sects most religions have people difference of opinions about what is written in even the holy books. The openly defy each other yet when it comes to the individual they all want to control him/her with harsh punishments and shunning.
Does God has anything to do with it? No God is, has been and will stay consistent and the same but evolves as the human beings evolve. Thus the educated human has been is and will be changing, and this change has been the biggest threat to the organized religions because with the Internet’s availability educated human individual would be impossible to control. The examples are already showing up from Arab sparing to fights for the human rights to religious wars they all point towards the things would get worse before they get better.
It doesn’t really matter to you individually, if you are connected to God spiritually, but if you are a part of an organization you see the future where, your belonging group will lose power, that vision is causing problems in the conservative populations in all over the world.
If you look at it critically, most religions give a whole lot of power to God and preach that we should believe that things are done by the God. God created human being with the potential and continuous evolving abilities that means God has a lot of confidence in human being. It’s the human being who is fearful of his/her own evolutionary knowledge.
We should use the power of hope and optimism which belongs to that little shot of God everybody is equally blessed with but that is in short supply for the extremists because they take matters in their hand and act upon it by killing each other. We as an individual carry the compassion, love and the ability to sacrifice in our DNA, its all part of us because of God. Should one get drunk and ignore being a human being? The answer is that each and everyone is given the free will to choose, how to live our life. Being a CEO you just can’t ignore the fact why you are created as a human being so before picking up the weapons to kill other human beings remember God lives in all human beings.
Life is a gift of God to human individual to enjoy while reciprocating, you can choose to become a priest, mullah or a monk but that does not give you the rights to force your choice on to others. Spiritually evolved individual becomes so humble that they don’t even judge others, never mind enforcing their personal beliefs as rules.
When you read a book you get a degree of masters, but each and every human being comes with the capabilities of writing to attain PhD so forcing them to confine and conform has the potential to back fire.
Human society can not have rigid set of rules, because as we evolve the things change.
Since we always have the people evolving at different time, we have problems.
Some time visionary ideas are adopted by the people hundreds of years later even the provider of the idea have been killed just because he/she thought ahead of time. By accepting our evolving knowledge we become tolerant, humble and hopeful with the drink of God. If we get drunk even with God we have the potential to kill each other.
Our knowledge should help us to evolve but watching the news videos of Iraq and Syria makes me think we are devolving as individual’s commit the spiritual crimes on the name of religion and personal revenge. The love loss is the main driving force behind all the killings thus longer the conflict carries on, the more people lose loved ones and that perpetuates peace less life for all parties involved.
Religious societies inspire its individuals to fight without the fear of death so they promote the knowledge of the belief system which states that an individual lives only as long as his/her time is written by God. This not only gives fearless living, it promotes hope as well thus spiritually it can be good for the individual but great for the political leaders whom benefit from the sacrifice of the individual.
Since we are intertwined with lot of people like spouse, friends and family, as our time changes we drift apart, that is a love loss and in order to deal with any kind of loss we should have some kind of knowledge which makes it easier to carry on living. If you believe in that one’s time was up by God, it can bring peace regardless of the loss. If you don’t believe in time is up you can carry a lot of burdens of life on your shoulders at any given time. These beliefs are there to help us cope with those burdens. Popularity of God, religions and their sects are clear signs that we need the systems of living to help us cope with life’s difficulties. Communism only survived only seventy years yet religions have been around for thousands of years, one can choose to understand why or not.
The perception is a very power full tool against lot of our every day problems, so no one should claim their way is the only way, if you perceive it should be all spiritual based. When you mix or even use perceptions politically you could be proven wrong with the counter arguments.
You can make a statue of God and worship or make a statue of the Devil and throw stones at it, pray to an invisible God or put some one in between like prophets, either way you are perceiving just like every body else thus you are in the same vicinity so if you drink the alcohol of God it should stay as a social drink, if you get drunk on a too much of a good thing you still are drunk and can be destructive to yourself and the others around.
Since the love loss is the major dead dog, don’t rob others of love they will try to do the same and you both stray from the evolution which is the right path chosen by God for us. We have to reach to our potential as humanity, and humanity can’t move ahead with the dead individual’s input.
The allusiveness of God is a clear enough reason for the human being to pursue the potential, it is to bring the human being to full potential. If your hand is always open to God and you are always bagging you actually are going against God’s Will because you have given up the ability and free will to solve your personal problems. The time to ask for help is when you cannot solve your problems on your own with the tools you have been given and yes it is your fiver (read five bucks). The journey towards potential requires for us to dig deeper inside of ourselves to evolve.
This is the very reason God created us with an evolutionary nature, so we can reach the potential that was meant for us. As we evolve, our brain is continuously making more and more neurons and their connections. How far are we destined to go?. Can we stop creating limitations for ourselves and dive into the spiritual realm of our potential, its all up to us as a humanity.
When we reach our full potential that is when we will be able to understand all the Unknowns. Until then we have a journey. During the journey we cannot look at our current level of knowledge as 100% truth, regardless of where it is coming from. Regardless of how passionate we feel about this knowledge, it can change tomorrow due to our evolutionary nature just look at our computers, cell phones, self driven cars and planes. With our limited knowledge we can make decisions to choose extremes, yet the wisdom of God calls for balance. As we follow the wisdom of God we come closer to our potential and thus to God, so if you ask me about the path to God I will say follow and evolve to your potential individually so the humanity evolves with your evolution.
For me today’s truth can change as I evolve to understand more. I can respect the divine knowledge of the holy books, but I can’t trust my evolving nature. Not only is it my responsibility to learn the real truth hidden in the words of holy books I need to learn to read in between the lines as well. I have to have the CEO vision which can help me to strain out the politics and human’s insecurity related interventions, that the holy books are tainted with.
Picture an onion with different and colorful layers. If you cut it, the mixing of the colors creates a confusing color. You have to peel one layer at a time in order to understand the wisdom of colors. Each layer teaches, how to reach the truth, but it is not the truth because there is more to learn thus every step we take in the evolution of our understanding of the truth is not complete.
If you find contradictions within yourself and you are not sure about your knowledge, you have to understand that life is like an onion. You can’t cut the onion, you must peel it one layer at a time. In this state of mind you can not choose the extreme, because you don’t know the real truth of the final layer. If you have not reached and learned about the final layer, you can’t claim that you know everything about all the colors. You can’t claim that you have seen the divinity and you know everything there is to know, by peeling only a few layers of knowledge or by cutting the onion because mixed up colors give you the confusion. The holy books may contain the truth, but like the layers of onion we can’t understand everything unless we have reached our potential.
Choosing the extreme has nothing to do with God, his prophets or the books. Extreme actions in any area of life is based on the emotional and egotistical politics of sense of belonging or personal love loss.
( Exactly the opposite of God’s will because we are created to do God’s work. If everybody kills each other we take God’s meaning of existence away. A general without the army is not able to help.)
Imagine a family with little children and the parents are fighting to the point that they forget that children need them. If they kill each other what good it will do for the kids? We are taught and it seems that humans are the vulnerable ones, yet it is God who is getting hurt with our bickering. If we fight it hurts God. Literally God can’t help us if the work force is not there to do the job. This does not mean that God is in an inferior position. It’s equal in the the Divine Triangle.
This Divine Triangle is the base knowledge of my Blog and comprised of God, The Devil, and The Human. Every corner of the triangle has it’s importance and power to complete this Divine Triangle. Good without the bad, or human without the God does not complete the triangle, because without the third equation, good or bad both become meaningless and human without good and bad can’t serve the purpose of understanding of life, and yes no one should be able to flip the triangle..
God and the Devil are not some forces ‘out there.’ Other than the movies versions no one has seen the Devil or even God himself, you can say you have felt the presence but not seen in real life.
There is no way one can separate himself from God or the Devil to be able to see them as entities. You, the human, are the third equation of this triangle. Evolving to the level of the third equation is the only way you can see the human potential. Reaching that potential shows the triangle from the top where it is all one and the same.
We carry both polarities of God and Devil within us with the potential of extreme. Human can do things God can be proud of or commit the most heinous crimes that can put the Devil himself to shame. Human can do good and bad things in the same lifetime, so there is no such thing as born to be bad or bad to the bone. We can’t write someone off as a bad individual, because people change with awareness. As human evolves, he/she can learn to balance both sides and achieve inner peace. This inner peace can manifest and spread into the world beyond the individual. Understanding self can help the individual to seek to create light in the dark room because he/she carries that beam of light within.
Knowing about the other side has been a quest for the human since the dawn of civilization, seeing the other side is not clear it is like the dark room and the object, if you want to know more about it, you have to evolve to you potential first. My optimistic hope is that human will evolve to the point to know God, if we don’t destroy our selves before reaching the potential. Rushing and ripping the paper to pursue is a human thing it’s not God’s doing, there is a wisdom to our evolution and that particular speed toward the journey is crucial wisdom.
The knowledge we have today is coming from different directions just like beams, or another example is that our brain is like an ocean and the knowledge keeps pouring in from all directions like rivers, it is up to us how to mix and match to function in our individual lives. The influences of sense of belonging can be over powering, that is why we bow down to our pride and ego, in spite of being educated.
Since we are not created angels because they just have to obey and serve God, we have to take responsibility of the animal side of our nature as well. We are not designed to be obedient 100% of the time. Human is different than angel, so human has to live like a human. Being human is not inferior – we actually are superior to angels, so why are we trying to demote ourselves to emulate them. Angels serve God without the temptations and we surpass them when we do a good deeds in the name of God because we always have temptations.
Every day there are new discoveries are made, practically in all departments of our life. If we say that our knowledge has been completed. How can that be possible?
Personally it is clear to me, that we are an evolving organism, we have come a long way and there is still a long way to go to achieve the potential.
We use to kill each other over a piece of meat or a female, unfortunately, after all the civilization we still do that, just we have become more sophisticated in doing so, we cover our tracks with the politics and hide behind God and the Devil. We use God and the devil’s name to make us look good and the others bad.
Problem 1: Weak, insecure individual
Problem 2: Imbalance between our sense of belonging and sense of freedom.
Problem 3: Ego, honor, pride, and respect of ancestors – holding onto the past and resisting change.
I believe if something is not proven or clearly understood it should not have the power of law and order. To enforce a law upon a general population, you must have clearly understood and described rules, not ethics, morals and courtesies masquerading as rules and laws.
There are hundreds of societies and each society has people who belong to different schools of thought. If every group has its own way of living there will be a chaos, just like the jungle, where the animals mark their territories. We all from individual to family to society to nation to religions feel that we are above the animals yet our actions are no different than a baboon. If left alone we rob each others from materiel things to love, sure not every one is a bad apple and not all nations and the religions commit spiritual crimes but just look around now and even in our history and prove me wrong.
Today’s news said that in the last five years four hundred thousand human individuals have been killed, looking at it with the baboon logic they can’t practically kill even if they wanted to. What is this all about? Are we worse than the baboons? As humans we need rules not only for the individual but as communities, nations and religions as well.
There is a need for an authority which can have a justice system and police force to keep all the nations and religions in check so they don’t commit the crimes against the individuals. By looking at the physical globe, it has no physical boundary lines and its a home for all of us, there is no where else to go unless we find another earth, but if we don’t learn to live with each other with all the differences we are going to take our baboon attitude where ever we go.
So far logically there is only one home for all of us because there are no political lines. We have been creating more and more lines on the name of peace we have even created walls to avoid conflicts but our problems like internet and infectious diseases can’t be in the boundaries thus we need to evolve sooner the better. To control and create peace in a society, we need the umbrella rules of justice based on the equal human individual rights for the world that go beyond the differences of ideologies even the groups, nations and the countries.
The new paradigm is equal human rights thus the united nation has to have a clear mandate, justice system with the police force not like today. All talk but no actions, especially when it comes to the veto holding countries. I understand in a complex world like today it would be impossible to enforce an international order, but as an individual if we all shift our sense of belonging from a group, to humanity as one entity, there is hope.
If the individual is educated it can become easier, thus the education should be free and essential to all individuals in the world. If the individual is spiritually educated enough he/she can even cross the lines of their respected nations and religions on the name of humanity.
It can be done if we all, as an individual become a CEO, he/she has the potential to change the world of politics we live in. Donald Trump said he loves the uneducated people it is because politically they can be swayed and talked into building walls even this day and age when we need to come together not only to fight against poverty, hunger and infectious diseases like Ebola and Zika we have to learn to get along without going to wars. In today’s world any problem of the world is everyone’s problem, you just can’t live in the boundaries or iron dome.
I am an idealist and want the physical globe without the political lines, which may not be possible in my life time but I see all the signs of global unity. From space station to internet to fighting together against the infectious diseases with unity or even dealing with natural disasters and refugees. Its all pointing towards the potential where we all can understand we are cells of humanity and we have a duty to work for the well being of the humanity to reciprocate and evolve to our potential instead of robing each other of love.
All laws are supposed to be created to bring peace and order in human societies, but the enforcement of the rules highly depends on the individual because he/she is the best regulator of the inner turmoil. If the peace is achieved by force, it is fear-based and fear-based peace will always be temporary. Out-dated rules have to constantly match with human evolution; otherwise we will always be killing each other just like we have been. We need to grow and evolve socially and spiritually in accordance with science and technology. Since we are still evolving, our knowledge can not be one hundred percent true.
Unfortunately in every corner of the world human has been passionately and egotistically claiming that our knowledge is complete and better than others. We have been constantly learning more and marching towards our ingrained potential regardless of the ridiculous notion of complete and better knowledge. One can be technologically advance but illiterate in social interaction, or the other way around. This hollow kind of completeness should be enough to make everybody moderate, but the phenomenon of belonging is so powerful, that it trumps the logic and makes even educated people choose the extreme.
Attaining PhD or university degrees are not enough to find personal security beyond the sense of belonging, because it is embedded in the spirituality. Since religions promote sense of belonging and not sense of individual freedom that makes religions and God vulnerable to human politics, which has the power to pollute and confuse the human regardless of the level of education.
Since our knowledge of God is incomplete. It cannot be fully understood regardless of what the religions say, until we reach our full potential, we are the slaves of assumptions. In order to reach our potential, we have to begin to shine the lights of our individual spirituality. Our whole being, our brain, heart and the body are used by that consciousness residing in each and everyone of us. That consciousness is that spark of the divine from which our spirituality comes from. This is the area where we have differences of opinion. That is the Dark Room. If we are not evolved yet to understand it completely it is a lack of awareness it is not a fault, unless we start to use our assumptions as rules, ethics and morals thus, we should not let our ego, pride and sense of belonging compel us to fight and kill each other. These have been creating conflicts, and killing us right from the beginning of our history. We forget that Dark Room in which we are only a work in progress.
